About me
Dr. Katie Reck is the newly hired Director of Adult Education at Seward County Community College. Prior to her appointment, she was a tenured Associate Professor of Human Development and Family Studies at Central Michigan University where she focused her teaching and research efforts on high-impact student learning, community outreach, and interpersonal relationships. Dr. Reck received her Bachelors and PhD in 2013 from Utah State University (Go Aggies!) where she worked statewide with Extension programing, focusing on community outreach and interventions with high-risk families. As the Director of Adult Education at SCCC, she hopes to continue to foster and advocate for high-quality, impactful student learning and build resources that lend to an environment where individuals and families can thrive.
