About me
Kellie Blair Hardt joined the GED Testing Service Board of Directors in 2021 and is a math instructor at Prince George's Community College GED program in Largo, Maryland. She founded Hardt2Heart Tutoring Service for adult learners and has over 20 years of experience as a middle and high school math, science, and technology teacher. She is driven by her desire to educate and mentor adult learners of color or with learning differences. She has overcome homelessness, parental abandonment, and expulsion from high school—to return to school, earn a GED ® diploma, and a Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Psychology and Special Education. In 2013, she was one of only five teachers nationwide to receive a National Education Association award for excellence in teaching. In 2014, she also received the GED Testing Service Cornelius P. Turner Award for outstanding contributions to education in the community, statewide and nationally. In July 2023, Kellie was honored for her dedication and success as a board member and instructor by receiving the first-ever Molly Broad Award. This award recognizes excellence, leadership, and service in education.
